We encourage all mental health treatment providers and advocacy organizations to sign up for a Thero.org account. This article shows you how to sign up.
You can sign up by visiting Thero.org/signup. The options below describe the fields on the signup page.
If you're an individual treatment provider such as a therapist, psychologist, counselor, psychiatrist or MD use your first and last name.
If you're a clinic, hospital, or treatment center use the name of the parent company or organization you belong to.
Your email address is used for verification purposes. Ideally this email will end with the web domain of the resource (i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org). This will make verification process go more quickly.
Choose a password with 6 or more characters and that has at least one capital letter, one number, and a symbol.
We invite the following types of people to join Thero.org:
- Licensed Treatment Providers - These are individual treatment providers who are licensed to provider therapy or counseling by the state. These include Counselors, Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, MD's. The list of qualifying licenses is available on the signup page under License Type.
- Clinics, Hospitals, and Treatment Centers - Any facility that is licensed to provide mental health services are welcome to create a profile for their agency and then create a listing for the clinic(s).
- Crisis Lines and Advocacy Organizations - Any organization that provides advocacy, support, and/or crisis intervention in person, by phone, telephone, or text.
